Shettleston Community Growing Project

Shettleston Community Growing Project chosen as first Scottish charity to be awarded a donation from MultiLotto.

Shettleston Community Growing Project were awarded the donation of £10,000 after international lottery company, Multilotto, launched a month long search to find good causes in Scotland who would benefit from the cash.

Andrew Clarke, head of communications at Multilotto, said: “We’ve had an overwhelming response to the call out across Scotland, and it’s been great reading about all of the fantastic people and good causes that are in the area.

We will use the donation to provide a programme of activities for local residents with the aim of helping unemployed volunteers gain new skills and build social connections. We will also use the money to continue to work with the local community, schools and Smelly Welly Club.

Everyone from the growing project thanks MultiLotto for the kind donation which will allow us to continue the great work we do.
